PROJECT | PIZZERIA | RENOVATION & BRAND IDENTITY
This concept tells the story of a young family starting a new pizzeria snack bar in the old city center of Breda. They want a great customer experience in short walk-through times.
CHALLENGE
How do you respect the city, the owners and the new customers to be, in a monumental building with a long, narrow shape? Due to my extensive hospitality experience, I could infuse this design with smart routing, the owner’s character, and some remarkable details to attract the right customer.
CONCEPT
Captivated by their relax-and-enjoy-life mindset, I based the interior concept on the owners’ identity and their target customer. By reflecting their essence, we attract the right clients. Focus number one: turn the only window into an element that invites people to come in and taste the good stuff. Simple yet elegant furniture fills up the space and creates a cool vibe.
SPECIAL ELEMENTS
The urban materials and rough colors match the owners’ character. At the same time, it creates the perfect contrast for colorful pizzas to pop out. I made better use of the window front to attract new customers in, while the ones in store can relax. The entire layout and its materials got a makeover, which turned it into a complete renovation. The bar and oven are now at the back, as a connection to the kitchen and to make better use of the window front. The brand-new seating area is designed to unwind and look out of the street. A custom-made wooden bench and the wooden floor, walls and ceiling embrace you with a warm welcome.
