PROJECT | MONUMENTAL OFFICE 

I crossed paths with an entrepreneur with several business interests, in love with luxury, passionate about traveling and boats. His office is located at the vivid Veerhaven in Rotterdam, surrounded by things he loves most: water and boats. He wanted a place to work in peace in an office that feels like a luxurious living room.
This project was a collaboration with Dick van der Meer.

 

CHALLENGE

The big design challenge was for the floor, walls, and ceiling to remain untouched in this beautiful monumental building.

 

CONCEPT

To give the space that luxurious and elegant feeling, we went for high-end German and Italian design furniture. Modern black and white pictures of the port area add a contrast to the monumental wooden walls. The structured wooden walls make the pictures pop out.

 

SPECIAL ELEMENTS

The office home truly reflects the client’s personality, needs, and desires. I love how this is now the space in which he often relaxes between his private and business travels.
